Visual & Performing Arts

Drama Club provides students with a safe and creative environment that allows them to express themselves through the performing arts.  The club gives students an opportunity to be introduced and exposed to the dramatic arts that they normally don’t have the chance to be a part of during their routine academic day. Theatre is an essential part of one’s education, contributing to the development of abilities needed for the 21st century such as: creativity and innovation; critical thinking and problem solving; communication and collaboration; flexibility and adaptability; initiative and self-direction; productivity and responsibility as well as cross-cultural skills and social responsibility.  Club members will be able to implement these crucial skills, through the diverse endeavors provided in the theatre including the production of a play in the fall and a musical in the spring.

More Than Mozart is a community outreach club that uses music as its vehicle for community service. By performing public fundraising concerts they are able to raise awareness for local charity organizations. In addition, performances are given at local retirement homes and hospitals.

In 1978, The National Art Education Association established the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) to inspire and acknowledge students demonstrating exceptional talent in art. The high school chapter of NAHS invites other like-minded high school students who excel in and are passionate about visual arts to seek membership, typically in late September. Eligible candidates should maintain at least a B+ cumulative average in their visual arts courses and a B grade point average overall. As members, students engage in projects aimed at enhancing their school and community. In addition to school-based projects, members commit to 5 hours of supplementary arts-focused community service. Their collective achievements are celebrated annually at the Induction Ceremony.

The Ardsley High School Panther Pep Band is the musical spirit of our football team. In attendance at every home game, the pep band plays to support our student athletes by playing popular music to energize the team and crowd.

The Poetry and Writing Club is a safe space for all to come and share through creative writing. Whether you're a budding author or have little experience, come and experiment with words. Each meeting consists of different activities, mediums, and genres to explore, and members are encouraged to share their ideas too. So, bring your notebook or Macbook.
