Summer Reading
As we all prepare for a well-deserved summer break, the English Department is excited to announce an initiative that aims to unite and engage our entire school community: the selection of grade-level community-wide summer reading books.
We, as a department, believe that reading can foster a sense of togetherness and ignite meaningful conversations among students, parents, and faculty alike. By selecting books that hopefully resonate with students, we seek to create a common ground for learning and growth outside of the classroom setting.
Each grade level has a chosen text, ensuring that every member of our community can participate in this enriching experience. We hope that reading one of these texts will foster and facilitate thoughtful conversations among peers and with your new students when we return to school in September. We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to read together and explore new perspectives.
We hope this will bring excitement and a sense of community to AHS come fall.
