Dustin Aitcheson and Madeline McGoey tied for first place at Ardsley High School's 10th grade Poetry Slam held Tuesday, May 13th. After weeks of preparation, the competition brought impressive performances from finalists selected from each English class.

The event featured original poems created and performed by students who had been developing their work in English classes throughout the spring. Each class selected two representatives to compete in the grade-wide final.

Zoe Hochman earned second-place honors, while Suhana Gulani took third in the competition.

Student emcees Shrinand Patnaik and Sebastian Chacon guided the audience through the program, introducing each performer and maintaining energy between presentations.
