Model UN Delegates Tackle Pressing Global Issues at Hastings Conference
The AHS Model United Nations members recently participated in the Hastings Model United Nations Conference I (HMUNC I), hosted by Hastings High School. This event brought together schools from across New York and neighboring states to discuss various topics related to diplomacy and international relations.
Delegates discussed issues ranging from space militarization and cyberterrorism to sustainable tourism. The conference highlighted the importance of critical thinking, negotiation, and public speaking skills, enabling delegates to develop innovative solutions.
Congratulations to Samara Hadi and Shrinand Patnaik for winning Best Delegate and to Zuri Barnes for receiving Honorable Mention.
