2025 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists Announced
Congratulations to Leo Blank, Aarjav Brahmbhatt, and Anhad Kataria for advancing as semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship
Program.
High school juniors entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) as an initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrant in each state. The number of semifinalists in a state is proportional to the state's percentage of the national total of graduating seniors. Leo, Aarjav, and Anhad have the opportunity to continue in this competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered this coming spring.
After being notified, Leo said, "It’s nice that we are being recognized for our academic successes." Aarjav reacted by saying, "I'm really grateful for being recognized for the work I've done, and I'm excited to be a NMSQT Semifinalist!" Anhad mentioned, "I’m happy to have this chance for a scholarship and look forward to the future." Please join us in congratulating Leo, Aarjav, and Anhad on this fantastic accomplishment.
